- Applicant must meet all Southern University Graduate School entrance requirements.Applicant must also meet all Southern University Graduate School requirements.
- Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Physics. Special admission will be considered for applicants with B.S. degrees from related fields, where appropriate.
- A 3.0 overall GPA is required; students with earned GPA less than 3.0 may be granted conditional admission.
- A General GRE score of Quantitative + Verbal of 850/1600 is required for regular admission. Students with earned GRE slightly less than 850 may be granted conditional admission and must take the GRE again in order to be granted regular admission.
- For International Students a minimum ToFEL test score of 77/120 (IBT) is required.
